Holiday Dresses.

The Holiday Season is my favorite time of the year, for many reasons. And one of those reasons is holiday dresses! Maybe I love it so much because as a kid, I got to pick out a frilly new dress every year on Christmas and Easter.

I love not only her dress, but the whole outfit. I really want a pair of those lime-sh, mustard color (can’t think of a better description for the color) tights. Her necklace and shoes are also perfect for this simple white dress.

Gold Leaf Cocktail Dress from Anthropologie  $258.00

I want this dress for New Year’s Eve. It’s like a party in dress form. 🙂

Lasercut Sheath Dress from Anthropologie $225.00

This is one of my favorites. I love all of the detail of the lace especially around the neck. Just for fun,  I might go for some bright red or blue closed toe heels.

Delightful As A Feather from Mod Cloth $272.99

This is another “dream” dress because at almost $300.00 there is no way  I could afford it. But if I could, I’d wear it every chance I got.

Ever Soho Stylish Dress from Mod Cloth $54.99

Not only is this dress stylish and perfect for the Holidays, the price is even better!

Flappy Go Lucky Dress from Mod Cloth $89.99

I have to admit, I love that sweater dresses are making a comeback. I think this dress is so cute for less formal occasions; paired with white or navy colored tights and brown or tan boots.

Pleased As Punch Dress at Mod Cloth $79.99

changing things up.

Lately I’ve been feeling restless and claustrophobic in our small Chicago apartment…I think we have officially outgrown the 900 sq ft space. We’ve been looking at houses to rent and that has only made me more antsy and unhappy with our place.

Maybe it’s the changing seasons or the feeling that I have no control over several areas in my life right now…whatever the psychoanalysis might be…I’ve changed a few tiny things up in our apartment and it has seemed to make a huge difference.

It all started with these two vintage looking shabby chic gardening trays (at least thats what I think they are supposed to be) I found at Marshall’s.

And then took off with some left over antique blue Ball jars from our wedding, antique dishes, moss stones, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a peacock feather, seashells, and bird ornaments.

I think I basically took all of my favorite things and put them in these boxes. And now being able to look at them all the time makes me happy!
